History

The Association of Wielkopolska Municipalities and Counties is one of the largest regional association of local authorities in Poland. It comprises over half of the municipalities and counties in the Wielkopolska region. Members of the Association include large cities and towns such as Poznań, Kalisz, Piła, Gniezno, Leszno and Września. Since 1991 the Association has been active in integrating the different levels of local government and has been a forum for exchange of experiences and initiatives relating to Wielkopolska’s development.
